The Tooth Fairy Experience program laced up for its fourth annual Free Skate Day with the Seattle Kraken, celebrating healthy smiles and happy kids! This special event rewards children who participated in a free Tooth Fairy presentation at school and completed an exciting brushing and flossing challenge.
Leading up to the big day, our Tooth Fairies visited elementary schools to deliver fun, interactive presentations on oral health, good nutrition, and active lifestyles. More than 1,000 students learned why taking care of their teeth now helps their future smiles, plus how to make smart food and drink choices. At the end of each session, students took on a week-long challenge to brush and floss consistently—building habits that last a lifetime!
The reward? A FREE celebratory skate day at the Kraken Community Iceplex with Tooth Fairy Jen, Tooth Fairy Arika, and the one and only Kraken mascot, Buoy! After completing their challenge, students submitted their progress charts and were invited to hit the ice for a day of fun.
On Free Skate Day, over 250 kids and families joined the Tooth Fairies and Buoy for an unforgettable time on the rink! Every child received a dental health kit and a Buoy & Tooth Fairy-themed pillowcase to keep the magic going at home. Off the ice, kids got to test their skills at engaging activity stations, including a flossing challenge where they used dental floss to remove Play-Doh from Lego pieces, plus a fun coloring station.
With smiles shining just as bright as the ice, this year’s Free Skate Day was a huge success—proving that good oral health habits deserve to be celebrated in the coolest way possible!

Since its launch in 2019, as part of Delta Dental’s vision for a cavity-free Washington, the Tooth Fairy Experience Program aims to improve dental health habits at an early age, reduce the incidence of tooth decay and increase the number of kids who regularly visit the dentist.
The Tooth Fairy Experience was developed by Delta Dental of Washington in partnership with Arcora Foundation, School Nurse Organization of Washington, and Washington State Dental Association – and is endorsed by the Washington Homeschool Organization. All materials have been dentist, teacher, school nurse and child reviewed.
