Seattle Storm and Delta Dental of Washington partnered on two events in 2024 to bring smiles to girls and nonbinary kids through motivation, partnership, and mentorship!
The four-time WNBA champion Seattle Storm inspires young girls to be their best both on the court, and off. The team’s StormAcademy celebrates the power in girls and women in the Puget Sound region through dynamic leadership programs that inspire, speaking engagements that motivate, and academic platforms that educate. These girl-focused leadership and career sessions allow girls to build community, explore STEM and careers and learn new skills.
Delta Dental of Washington partners with StormAcademy twice a year, bringing our Dental Career Discovery Program to the mix! Through this on-going partnership, we are introducing young participants to career opportunities in the dental profession.
The Dental Career Discovery program provides engaging experiences through mentorship and hands-on workshops that ignite curiosity about dental health careers.
Girls and nonbinary kids in attendance at both events spent the full day being motivated, receiving amazing swag from the Seattle Storm and their partners, as well as getting to roll up their sleeves and get some hands-on dental career experience.
After the hands-on workshop, attendees get to attend a fun Q&A with special Storm guests, who discuss leadership and career exploration.
