Grant Information

WDS Foundation seeks proposals for projects that are aligned with our strategic focus.

Grants are made to eligible organizations for projects that do any or all of the following:

  • Ensure early intervention and improve the oral health of young children (birth through age 5) and pregnant women.
  • Improve the oral health of seniors.
  • Build public awareness of oral health issues and increase support for policy change.

The Foundation is interested in proposals that offer sustainable solutions and benefit large numbers of people. The Foundation does not typically offer grants to organizations that have sufficient funding for the project being proposed and can accomplish the goals without outside funding. Organizations should be aware that the Foundation encourages applicants to seek funding from multiple sources. In some cases, depending on the circumstances, a loan may be offered rather than a grant.

Grant applications are due March 15th and September 15th. Funding decisions are announced in June and December.

Applicants must contact the Foundation prior to submitting a grant application. The Foundation provides technical assistance to applicants to ensure that your organization submits the best possible application. Foundation staff is available to answer questions that may come up as you complete your application. All prospective applicants should contact Heather Knaplund at (206) 528-2337 or (800) 572-7835 extension 2337 or hknaplund@deltadentalwa.com
